Who publishes this guide
This site is a community guide published by Gold Peach Realty, a real estate brokerage that works across North Georgia, including Cumming and Forsyth County. We make it because people deciding whether to visit, or whether to live here, deserve one place with clear, dated answers about the downtown: what is on at the square and at City Center, where to park, where to eat, how to get up Sawnee Mountain and how close the lake really is.
We are not the City of Cumming, Cumming City Center, the Cumming Country Fair & Festival, Forsyth County or Discover FoCo, the county’s visitor bureau. Those organisations run the events and set the rules we write about, and every page links to them so you can confirm anything that matters before you travel.
How we check facts
- Every date, address, rule and number links to the organisation that published it, with the date we last checked it.
- If an organiser has not yet published this year’s date, we say so instead of guessing from last year.
- Walking times in our tools are straight-line estimates from map coordinates, and they are labelled that way.
- We do not publish invented prices, ratings, statistics or reviews. If we cannot source something, it is not on the page.
- Photographs are real and credited, with their licences, on the photo and film credits page. The home page film is cut from those photographs; nothing in it is generated.
How we use AI
AI tools help us draft; people check every fact before it publishes. Articles are bylined to the Downtown Cumming Editorial Team, the people who check them, rather than to an invented author.
Which Cumming this guide covers
This guide covers downtown in the City of Cumming, the county seat of Forsyth County, Georgia: the historic courthouse square on Main Street and Cumming City Center a short drive west of it. We also cover the places most visitors pair with a downtown day, Sawnee Mountain Preserve and the Forsyth County side of Lake Lanier, and we say so whenever a place is outside the city.
Advertising, sponsorship and listings
Gold Peach Realty’s own listings appear on this guide, clearly labelled, and the brokerage’s contact details are on every page. We do not sell rankings or reviews. Any future local sponsorship will be labelled as sponsored where it appears. To ask about it, use the contact form.
Corrections
Spotted something out of date? Tell us through the contact form or at info@goldpeachrealty.com, and we will check it against the source and fix it. Pages show the date they were last checked.
