2nd Annual Cumming Bourbon & Blues Festival
Organiser date for 2026An afternoon of bourbon, wine and beer tastings, blues music and an artisan market, held rain or shine. A ticket is needed only for the 21+ tastings. It benefits Launch Ability, a local nonprofit that provides job coaches for people with disabilities.

Hometown Heroes 5K & Fun Run

Organiser date for 2026More than 100 local vendors sell gifts and seasonal goods. There are also photos with Santa, live holiday music and a kids' zone. Admission is free.

Snow Day at Cumming City Center

City of Cumming Christmas Parade
Organiser date for 2026The City's Christmas parade. In 2025 it ran from Forsyth Central High School to the Cumming Fairgrounds via Tribble Gap and Castleberry roads, with road closures from 4:30 PM. The 2026 route has not been published separately.
The Fairgrounds calendar lists Sat. Dec. 12, 2026, 5–6:30 PM. The City's Sept. 28, 2026 news post opens 2026 registration with a 5 PM Dec. 7, 2026 deadline. The calendar entry's description text is still the 2025 version (Dec. 13, 2025), so the route and closure times are last year's.

Memorial Day Ceremony and Avenue of Flags
Not yet announced for 2027. The City says ceremonies begin at 11 AM "each Friday before Memorial Day Weekend," which would be May 28, 2027. That date is worked out, not published.The City's yearly Memorial Day ceremony at the Veterans War Memorial behind the Lou Sobh Amphitheater, with the Avenue of Flags. Each flag honors a veteran who served on active duty.

July 4th Thomas-Mashburn Steam Engine Parade & Fairgrounds Celebration
2027 schedule not published. Times shown are from the 2026 Fairgrounds calendar (July 4, 2026). Appen Media called the 2026 parade the 68th annual, so 2027 would be the 69th, but no source has published that.Antique steam engines, tractors, vintage cars and floats roll south on Tribble Gap Road from Forsyth Central High School to the Fairgrounds. An evening celebration at the Fairgrounds follows with music, food, vendors and fireworks. The Antique Steam Engine Association organizes the parade; the City runs the Fairgrounds celebration.

- Mary Alice Park (any day): Vehicles need a $10 daily pass or an annual pass on the dashboard, and the boat ramp is also $10 a day. Boat ramps may close when the park reaches capacity. - Sawnee Mountain Preserve: The county park map shows lots at the visitor center (4075 Spot Road), at 2500 Tribble Gap Rd. (pavilions, the amphitheater and restrooms) and at 2505 Tribble Gap Rd. (a playground, two pavilions and restrooms), plus a small west-end lot by the Church and Mountainside trails marked "Limited – 10 Spaces" with no published address. Questions
Are concerts at the Lou Sobh Amphitheater free?
Yes, the City Center's concerts have free general admission and free parking. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and friendly dogs on a leash are welcome. Tents, coolers, outside food or alcohol, glass, smoking and vaping are not allowed. Scooters, bikes and skates can't come into the amphitheater during shows, and balls must be put away once the music starts.

When is the Cumming Country Fair & Festival in 2026?
The 2026 fair runs Oct. 8–18 at the Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road, so the last two days are this weekend. It is open Saturday, Oct. 17 from 10 AM to midnight and Sunday, Oct. 18 from 12:30 to 10 PM. Gate admission is $10 for ages 11 and up and free for ages 10 and under. There is no re-entry, and pets, coolers and alcohol aren't allowed.

What is the Steam Engine Parade?
The Thomas-Mashburn Steam Engine Parade is Cumming's July 4 tradition. Antique steam engines, tractors, vintage cars and floats roll south on Tribble Gap Road from Forsyth Central High School to the Cumming Fairgrounds. In 2026 it started at 10 AM, and the Fairgrounds celebration ran 4–10 PM with fireworks around 9:30. The Antique Steam Engine Association organizes the parade. The 2027 schedule isn't out yet.

When is the Christmas tree lighting and holiday market?
Both are on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2026 at the Cumming City Center. The Winter/Holiday Market opens at 10 AM with more than 100 vendors, Santa photos, live music and a kids' zone, and admission is free. The City Center page says the market runs until 6 PM and the City calendar says 5 PM. The tree lighting follows at 6 PM with a holiday concert.

When is the Cumming Christmas parade?
The Cumming Fairgrounds calendar lists the City of Cumming Christmas Parade for Saturday, Dec. 12, 2026, from 5 to 6:30 PM, and the City opened 2026 entry registration on Sept. 28. Last year's parade ran from Forsyth Central High School to the Fairgrounds via Tribble Gap and Castleberry roads, with road closures from 4:30 PM. Check the City for the 2026 route.

Is there a farmers market in Cumming?
Yes. The Cumming Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 8 to 11 AM in the Vision Parkway lot at the Cumming City Center, on the left as you enter from Canton Highway. The City Center calendar lists market Saturdays through Dec. 19, 2026, with no Nov. 28 date. Vendors sell produce, local meat, eggs and honey, baked goods, plants and crafts. No 2027 dates are posted yet.
